French Govt to Partner With Borno State on Agriculture, Education

Emmanuelle Bultmann, French Ambassador to Nigeria, said her country are knee to partner with Borno State on the development of agriculture, education, and the resettlement of IDPs.

During a courtesy visit to Gov Babagana Umara Zulum, at the Borno state liaison office in Abuja, Amb. Bultmann reveal her country desire to help the state.

The Ambassador made it known that her country is willing to collaborate with Borno state Government to boost the state Agriculture which is a means of livelihoods, to most of the IDPs that are returning to their homes.

She assured the Governor that the French Government will support Borno’s resettlement plan, stressing living in IDP camps does not give a good life to the displaced persons.

Gov Zulum expressed his appreciation to the French government for their efforts in ensuring a lasting peace in Borno.

However Gov Zulum recognizes and appreciates the works of all NGOs and other partners in Borno, but Gov Zulum insist the State should take a leading role in determining the state affairs.
