Yobe State Governor and chairman/Caretaker of the Ruling party All Progressive Congress APC, Mai Mala Buni has announced new date for the APC national convention.
Gov Buni said the party convention will hold on February 26.
Buni announced the date during his speech at the Progressive Women Congress that held in Abuja, on Tuesday.
On Sunday last week, the Progressive Governors’ Forum PGF, a forum of state governors under the APC met in a closed door meeting, where they insisted that the planned February convention should not be postponed and pass Confidence Vote on the chairman.
The chairman earlier met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House and briefed him on the decisions reached by APC governors during their Sunday night meeting in Abuja.
