Road accident claims three palace workers in Borno

A road accident on Monday claimed the lives of three palace workers of Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Umar Ibn Garbai El-kenmi, along the Maiduguri- Damaturu road.

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Borno State Sector Commander, Utten Iki Boyi, while confirming the death of three palace workers in a statement on Tuesday, said the accident, which occurred on Monday, involved six persons.

He said three died on the spot, while three others sustained various degrees of injuries and were taken to the hospital for immediate treatment.

He said the vehicle went into flames after somersaulting several times, adding that the FRSC officers were drafted for rescue operations immediately after the information got to them.

“I can confirm to you that unfortunately, three lost their lives,” he said.
