Major General G. U. Chibuisi, the theatre commander of Operation Hadin Kai has assured adequate security for corps members who are now camping in Borno State for the first time in ten years.

He made this known when he visited the new National Youth Service Corps members at a temporary orientation camp hosted at Mustapha Umar El-Kanemi Arabic College Maiduguri.

A press statement by the Nigerian Army on Twitter, now X, said the TC was received and briefed by the camp commandant and state coordinator on security in the camp.

He assured NYSC and the corps members that adequate security will be provided to camp for safe conduct of the exercise.

He further enjoined them to have a relaxed mind as he guaranteed them adequate security and all necessary support to ensure that they enjoyed their service year in the state.

NYSC stopped camping corps members in Borno since 2013 when activities of Boko Haram peaked.

It hosted its orientation program in Benue, Jigawa and Katsina, within this period.
