IGP Commends Three Police Officers For Excellence In Duty

The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has commended three police officers for excellence in discharging their duties.

The three men commended by the IGP were Sergeant Sampson Ekikere, Sergeant Yahaya Ahmed and CSP Elemide Akinkunmi Bishop.

CSP. Olumuyiwa Adejobi, spokesman of the command in Abuja, who issued the statement, said the IGP also charged senior police officers to always commend their personnel who have excelled in their duties, which have in turn impacted positively on the goodwill and image of the Nigeria Police Force.

On how the three officer got the commendation, Sergeant Sampson Ekikere, attached to 22 Police Mobile Force Ikeja Lagos State recovered a wallet, which belongs to Mr. Lukman, traced and hand over the wallet to him.

While Sergeant Yahaya Ahmed who was attached to Higher Shari’ah Court, Tudun Wada Division, Gusau, Zamfara State, rejected the sum of N300, 000 bribe.

Sergent Yahaya was offered the money by Chukwuka Jude, who was arrested and facing trail at the court for the offence of false presentation and cheating by impersonation.

Also commended by the IG was CSP Elemide Akinkunmi Bishop who was Head of Operations at the Police Radio.

CSP Bishop was mistakenly credited with the sum of N600,000 into his Police Account, he withdrew the money and remitted it back to the Nigeria Police Cooperative Society treasury.

IGP Usman Alkali Baba, assures the entire Police workforce of sustainable efforts in improving their condition of service with a view to making life meaningful to them and having the Nigeria Police Force of our choice.
